How Can an Allergic Reaction Affect You?Some symptoms of an allergic reaction include: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea Eyes may become swollen, watery, itchy and red Swelling of the lips, tongue, or around the eyes, including the eyelids Shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing or tight feeling in the chest Skin rash, itching, and hives In some cases, you may not be able to breath, your circulation may become lessened by swelling, you may not be able to swallow or have difficulty and you may pass out. Call emergency help line when you start to experience any allergic symptoms that you feel may be life threatening, especially if you are alone. When you have your allergic reaction under control you will need to avoid what caused it to begin with. You don't want to experience an allergic reaction anytime soon so it is best to avoid it when possible. If you suffer from an allergic reaction your doctor may make other recommendations for you in order to prevent future allergic reactions. When you are out visiting or out in public you may need to take extra precaution to avoid causing an allergic reaction. Some of the very things that may have caused your allergic reaction before will be in some other place so it's best to always be safe and ready for another allergic reaction. Because allergic reaction to something is more common today than ever, one may think that there is something wrong with the environment around us that would cause so many different allergies to begin with. You allergy may be with food, latex or even bees but what ever it is you must learn new ways to live with it everyday. If you don't take care of your self and avoid what causes your allergic reaction you may find that you have more frequent allergic reaction as well as more severe reactions. |
