If you feel that the task of finding a therapist you can help you deal with your anxiety and panic attack disorder is simply too much for you to handle on your own, ask a friend or a family member to help you.

Do not just let your friend or family member decide for you on this matter. Remember that it is you who will be seeing and talking to the therapist so you need to make sure that you are comfortable with this person. To make sure that you will be comfortable with this person, meet with him or her once before you commit yourself fully to his or her care. In case you do not feel comfortable with this person, then do not hesitate to say so. You have every right to refuse to be treated by somebody you do not feel you can trust.
