Miscarriage Is A Chemical PregnancyYou have miscarried. It happens every year to thousands of women exactly this way. A chemical pregnancy is a term used for an early miscarriage. It is basically a pregnancy that has miscarried before the gestational sac has become visible on an ultra sound. Normally, pregnancies do not show up on ultra sounds for 5 to 6 weeks. If doctors can see the gestational sac in an ultra sound then it is called a clinical pregnancy. These names are medical terms as to whether the sac can be seen with an ultra sound. A chemical pregnancy is detected only by chemicals and not an ultra sound. It Was A Real Pregnancy Many doctors may say that when you have a chemical pregnancy you were not really pregnant. They try and convince you that there is nothing to be sad about. This is simply not true. Pregnancy hormones don't just float around in a female's body and then suddenly disappear. A pregnancy test that turns positive means that you are pregnant, even if it is for only a few days. Unfortunately, chemical pregnancies are very common in women. About 50% of first pregnancies are chemical pregnancies and the woman does not even know that she has conceived. It is ok to grieve when you have had a chemical pregnancy. A chemical pregnancy means that you were able to conceive and probably will again. A woman does not cause a chemical pregnancy. The cause usually lies in chromosomal abnormalities, low hormone levels, obstructions or fibroid tumors in the uterus, immune issues, luteal phase defect or an inadequate uterine lining. They do not happen because of the cardio workout from the day before or a softball that hit your stomach. Most of the women who suffer miscarriages will go on to deliver healthy babies during their next pregnancy. Actually, mothers will tell their daughters that if they miscarry, it is God's way to say it was an unhealthy pregnancy. A woman should not be afraid to continue to become pregnant. A chemical pregnancy is considered a natural event in the obstetrics world. It's a way of washing away the problems in the inside of the woman's womb, and to prepare the body for a fresh start with a happy ending. |
