Learning About Conversational HypnosisThese people believe that it is all simply mind over matter and that the hypnosis process is not actually real but rather than people just tell themselves that it is and then feel better. People who have smoked for a decade for instance, and who then undergo hypnosis treatment and never smoke again, those who believe in conversational hypnosis believe that it is actually all in their head and they are only able to quit smoking because they believe that they have been hypnotized. The Argument In the argument of conversational hypnosis versus real hypnosis, there are a few key points that should be made. For one, there is the issue of how hypnosis, whether "real" or "conversational" has to do with the mind, and many people believe that various things can be treated or dealt with simply by using mind over matter. Many people believe that disease and other sickness can be cured if the subject just believes that they will be cured, while others think this is positively ridiculous. It therefore really all depends on your own personal point of view and how you feel about the subject, to figure out what you believe and what you don't. Real Hypnosis You really can't believe in conversational hypnosis unless you are aware of what real hypnosis is all about. Sure you can think it is all fake and a fraud unless you are fully understanding on what it really is and what is involved with it. Hypnosis is not scary or dangerous, not at all in fact. Rather, it is primarily used to treat people, to help with illnesses and compulsions. Smoking, drinking, drug use, overeating - all of these types of problems have been able to be treated completely through hypnosis. Hypnosis is a technique in which a subject is put into a trancelike state so that they can be given suggestions that they will keep in their subconscious and remember even after they are awake and out of the hypnosis state. It is a psychological condition of altered state of consciousness in which they will be induced purposely in order to show differences in behavior and thinking. |
