When bleaching in the office there are still dangers of teeth whitening. Many people have reported a prolonged and increased sensitivity in their teeth to hot and cold things like coffee and ice cream. Gum irritation is another danger of teeth whitening and there is always the problem of the product being ingested by the patient. This can cause nausea, vomiting or a burning sensation. So basically, if you are using over the counter products, read the directions carefully and the dangers of your teeth whitening experience will be lessened. |
