Some Of The Most Common First Signs Of Pregnancy

There are believed to be ten signs that can rightly be considered as being the first signs of pregnancy, though every woman may not experience all of them, and are usually restricted to just a few signs. It normally takes a week after conception for the fertilized eggs to get implanted into the uterus following which the newly pregnant woman would experience one or more of the first signs of pregnancy.

Hormone Levels Undergo A Change

When first signs of pregnancy appear, it is normal to see the levels of hormones undergo changes, with corresponding new reactions by the body to such changes. Perhaps the first sign of pregnancy would be light spotting, which shows up after implantation and prior to the menstrual period. Also, the color of the bleeding should turn to pink or brown and be light as well.

Frequent Urination

Another of the first signs of pregnancy is that the pregnant woman will begin to urinate more frequently, which is one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. It is usual for pregnant women to need to urinate frequently and this can occur even before she misses her periods. There are also other first signs of pregnancy that includes having elevated body temperature, which can occur after ovulation has been completed and remains that way until even the periods start.

Menstruation Stops

An obvious first sign of pregnancy is when a woman begins to miss her menstrual periods, though missing periods can also occur due to other reasons such as illness, imbalance in hormones, stress, as well as because of reaction to certain foods as well as medications. Fatigue is another of the first signs of pregnancy, wherein it is usual for the pregnant woman to be low in energy, though care should be taken to not mistake exhaustion for fatigue. Such a condition occurs due to changes in the body's hormones and they usually go away once the body has adjusted to such new levels of hormones.

Uterine Contractions

When the uterus contracts frequently as well as regularly, you can be sure that this is one of the first signs of pregnancy, and you may find the uterine cramping during early stages of pregnancy can be caused by moving about, exercise and also through achieving orgasm.

Other Signs

Other first signs of pregnancy include nausea, tender nipples as well as breasts, darker areolas as well as being constipated. Once these first signs of pregnancy have been detected, you can confirm that you are pregnant by using some of the better home pregnancy tests.
