Facts About Inflammatory Arthritis

Inflammatory arthritis is a condition of the joints that are connected to the immune system of the individual resulting in inflammation. It has slight differences from osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis. The differences are that the pain associated with inflammatory arthritis usually occurs during the morning and sometimes after sitting in the same position for some time. Another difference is that this form of arthritis sometimes occurs due to stress.

Inflammatory Arthritis Development

Inflammatory arthritis develops in an individual mainly due to some autoimmune conditions or disorders where a particular person's immune system views some tissues of the body as an enemy and reacts through inflammation. These autoimmune disorders include lupus, Reiter's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. Bacteria can also be a factor for developing inflammatory arthritis. The type of inflammatory arthritis caused by bacteria is reactive arthritis. Crystalline deposits can also develop into inflammatory arthritis like gout and pseudo gout. In this case, the body has a difficult time processing some substances and the excess substances eventually deposit themselves in joints, most commonly the big toe.

Symptoms Of Inflammatory Arthritis

One of the more common initial signs that you might have inflammatory arthritis is a subtle pain that you might feel as you wake in the morning or a pain in some parts of the body due to sitting still for some time. You can also expect some pain in the joints and some swelling which can be warmer than other joints. Studies have also shown that symptoms of inflammatory arthritis often reveal themselves after the individual has gone through some sort of stress, whether emotional, physical or mental stress.

In most cases of inflammatory arthritis, individuals who suffer from this experience pain in several joints and not only in one specific area like other forms of arthritis. Since this form of arthritis is caused by an autoimmune disorder of the individual's body; the individual will need to find out what sort of autoimmune disorder is present in the body and treat it. Addressing the pain caused by the arthritis can only solve the superficial problem but not address the root cause which has something to do with the immune system.

Inflammatory arthritis needs to undergo testing to find out what is causing the body to react in such a different way to some tissues. Solving the autoimmune disorder is the only way to eliminate the arthritis that besieges people with this condition.
