Although, studies have shown that sleeping way past eight hours can be dangerous to your health, going to bed early does not necessarily mean getting the most hours from your sleep. If you sleep at around ten in the evening, make sure that you wake before you reach eight hours of sleep.

Other natural ways to cure insomnia is to have a light dinner. Going to bed with a heavy or full stomach can drastically reduce your better sleeping habits. A heavy meal, especially one that you eat just right before bedtime, can stress out your digestive system. Avoid foods with lots of sweetness and, if you are still having some difficulty sleeping, try to drink a glass of warm milk.



Keep your room cool when you get ready to sleep. A cooler room can help facilitate better sleep, whereas, for some, taking a warm shower before bedtime can also make them drowsy. These natural ways to cure insomnia has been randomly studied and has been found to actually contribute some percentage to getting individuals to have a better sleep. Other forms of insomnia treatment are to drink chamomile or Valerian tea to help soothe yourself and to use aromatherapy to alter the ambience of a place.
