Twins typically mean a weight gain of 35 to 45 pounds during pregnancy, with an emphasis on weight gain early in the pregnancy. Be Healthy The important thing about weight gain and pregnancy is that the weight should be gained healthfully. For women who began their pregnancy at a normal weight, this usually means adding approximately 300 calories to their diet. While this might seem like a lot, it is important to remember that these extra calories are going to feed a completely separate person. Additionally, it is important never to lose weight during a pregnancy! Whatever the circumstances, weight loss during pregnancy is not healthy. He or she will be able to provide you with a diet that will allow for the most successful weight gain during pregnancy. Not A Permanent Change It might be difficult for some women to deal with their weight gain and pregnancy. When the going gets tough, just remember that this is not a permanent change to the body.
