Diet and exercise are a big part of staying healthy during pregnancy. A low sodium diet can help to reduce the chance of pregnancy complications like edema and preeclampsia. It is also important to get the right amount of potassium and folic acid in your system. Your doctor should prescribe a prenatal vitamin for you to take during your pregnancy. This, or any over the counter prenatal vitamin, will help to ensure that you receive the proper amount of vitamins and nutrients during your pregnancy. Making sure that you maintain a lifestyle that consists of a healthy diet, consistent prenatal care, proper exercise, and plenty of rest, will go a long way toward ensuring that you do not suffer from any pregnancy complications. Follow your doctor's advice, and listen to your own body, and you can do a large part toward nine months free of pregnancy complications. |
