Infertility is a state of one individual where he or she has no contribution to the process of conception. This means that the individual's reproductive system is not functioning in the fullest capacity. Since infertility means that you and your partner can not conceive a child, this affects both individuals even if only one person is infertile. The drive to create progeny and to populate the world is strong in all of us.

At some point in a person's life, the desire to create life is strong and almost a need. If you are found to be incapable of being able to create life there are sure to be psychological issues of infertility. The psychological issues of infertility can arise from either individual in the marriage but most assuredly, from the one suffering from infertility.

A Woman's Point Of View

From the perspective of a woman, infertility is like an elusive chapter in her life that she can not read or experience. The psychological issues of infertility abound in a woman suffering from infertility. Results of knowing that she is infertile can make her think that her husband of partner may find her less desirable a wife and sexual partner. These psychological issues of infertility focus more on how people view her and her incapacity to conceive and bear children.



Other psychological issues of infertility that may come up are how you view yourself, how you might react to your inability to conceive and what you will do in order to achieve conception. These psychological issues of infertility are now aimed at yourself and can be more destructive and may undermine your self esteem. Some women can be so affected by infertility that they withdraw onto themselves even from their husbands or partners. This can be damaging to their relationship and their marriage. The other partner will certainly want to help but you might view it as an act of pity.

Psychological issues of infertility are where marriage breakdowns may stem from. Many women view conception and bearing a child as the ultimate reason for their existence. Some may think that this is the reason why they are put in this earth, to procreate and further the species. Actually, psychological issues of infertility are to be expected from women especially when they first hear of their infertility. It is the way these psychological issues of infertility are handled by both you and your husband that will set the trend of your life. You will need to be strong and have more confidence in yourself regarding these psychological issues of infertility.
