Keeping Your Balance: Yeast Infection From Inhalers

A yeast infection is a condition that can affect various parts of the human body. Some of those affected parts of the body can include the sexual genitalia of the male and female, the skin and the lungs.

In addition, it is important to note that yeast can be found in small traces on any parts of the body. However, it is when there is an imbalance in these areas that the yeast infection can occur. Specifically, it is when there is a disproportionate amount of good bacteria. This good bacterium helps to keep the traces of yeast in check. Often this bacterium is minimized due to the taking of antibiotics or actions such as, in the case of a yeast infection in the woman, an exchange of bodily fluids during sexual intercourse.

One other part of the body that is susceptible to a yeast infection is the mouth. This condition can occur through a number of scenarios. One such scenario is obtaining a yeast infection from inhalers.

Therefore, to avoid the possibility of yeast infection from inhalers it is important to understand how this occurs and steps to take to avoid a yeast infection from inhalers.

How A Yeast Infection From Inhalers Is Contracted

First of all it is important to understand how a yeast infection can occur. Remembering of that eighties infection occurs when there is an unbalance in the potential affected area is important to know what can cause this unbalance. Some of those catalysts that may cause an unbalance in the yeast to bacteria ratio are the use of antibiotics. Antibiotics are medications that are designed to fight bacteria. Hence, the use of antibiotics decreases the bacterial count and allows the presence of yeast to escalate.

Another common medication that minimizes the presence of bacteria in the body is the use of a steroid medication used to fight pulmonary disorders. One such pulmonary disorder is asthma. Often the method of administering this medication is through an inhaler.

However it is important to note that the use of steroids in this manner can also affect the bacterial count within the body. This occurs because the action of steroids produces an anti-inflammatory action. Subsequently this weakens the body's ability to stave off infections.

Precautions

Therefore, one of the major side affects of an individual, especially for children, is an occurrence of thrust of a yeast infection from inhalers. To help minimize this risk it is important to follow a precautionary step.

Those steps include the rinsing of the mouth with water after using the inhaler. This will help to dilute and remove the steroid from the mouth. Ultimately this action will help to maintain the balance in the oral cavity and help to prevent a yeast infection from occurring.
